Henricho Bruintjies will compete in the men's 60m race in Karlsruhe

Speedsters Henricho Bruintjies and Carina Horn will continue to build momentum in the early stages of the international track and field season when they line up at the IAAF Indoor Permit meeting in Karlsruhe, Germany on Saturday.
The duo, who both opened their 2016 campaigns at a European Indoor Permit meeting in Dusseldorf earlier in the week, were named in the start lists for the men’s and women’s 60m races at the first leg of the top-flight international series this weekend.
Bruintjies, who finished fourth in Dusseldorf in 6.65 seconds, was due to meet a world-class line-up in Karlsruhe headed by Americans Trell Kimmons and Mike Rodgers, as well as former 100m outdoor world champion Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Horn was also facing a real opportunity to be dragged through for a fast time, after crossing the line in 7.27 at the midweek meeting, just 0.07 outside her personal best.
She was preparing to square up against a field featuring Dutch star Dafne Schippers, the 200m gold medallist at last year’s IAAF World Championships in Beijing, and world junior 100m champion Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain.
