SCOTT SETS 1500M PB IN LIGNANO

Distance runner Dominique Scott smashed her 1 500m personal best on Tuesday, taking sixth place at the European Permit meeting in Lignano, Italy.
Scott crossed the line in 4:08.65 to knock more than three seconds off her previous career record set in April.
American Kerry Gallagher won the race in 4:03.56.
Sprinter Anaso Jobodwana, the only other South African athlete at the meeting, was third quickest in the men’s 100m dash.
Jobodwana finished second in his heat in 10.22, against a 0.9m/s headwind, with Julian Forte clocking 10.18 and fellow Jamaican Andrew Fisher winning the other heat in 10.21.
