ENTRIES RUNNING OUT FOR TWO OCEANS ULTRA-MARATHON

Updated: January 30, 2015

Runners hoping to participate in the 2015 Old Mutual Two Oceans ultra-marathon have been urged by the organisers to get their entries in, with less than 900 spots at the start line remaining.
The 46th edition of the annual 56km race in Cape Town will take place on April 4, and for the second year in a row, entries are expected to sell out well ahead of the official March 4 closing date.
To qualify for participation in the scenic ultra-marathon, runners must have completed at least one standard marathon after July 1, 2014, in under five hours, but runners do not have to pre-qualify to enter and have until March 4 to submit their qualifying times.
South African entrants in the ultra-marathon are also required to belong to a registered running club and have a valid running licence.
